Dr Helen Taylor Takes Up in2gr8 Directorship

We are delighted to announce that Dr Helen Taylor has become a Director here at in2gr8mentalhealth.

Helen, who was previously working as an Associate, has stepped up to bring her considerable experience and skills to our community heart work. Like all of us she leads with a fusion of valuing her lived experiential knowledge of mental health difficulties and her qualified experience as a mental health professional, to give her sight on the mental health professional scene and what needs changing.

Helen will help steer the organisation in service of our continued mission to be a centre that values, supports and destigmatises mental health difficulties in the mental health professions. We do this through our individual and PeerSpace mentoring, and our training and consultancy onto systems. Helen is truly an asset to our work and a compassionate, dedicated, knowledgable, valued and warm-hearted member of our team.

You will be hearing more from Helen across our various channels, including reporting back on an exciting engagement for us at the House of Lords next week... we're getting everywhere we need to be to make sure our message of support for mental health professionals' own mental health is clear! We will engage with every level of the system that impacts on our peers, and are never cowed by it, because we talk from our hearts whilst standing solidly grounded in our community's values.

From Helen:

"I am thrilled to be taking up a Director position with in2gr8mentalhealth CIC, to help carry the baton in the relay race that is this very special and unique form of community activism work, requiring our community energy. I am so grateful to have found a work home here. What I love most about this, is the opportunity to be part of something grassroots yet ground breaking. There is heart and soul and a feisty spirit in what we do here, and there is so much to be excited about on the horizon on behalf of our community, so keep an eye on us!"
