Standing alone together in our mission to make sure that none experience stigma against mental ill health, when mental health professionals themselves.
We have a growing community, and we may make others feel uncomfortable sometimes, but the truth is, wounded healers have been here for thousands of years since the shamanic traditions. They used to have to show their wounds as proof that they could be healers before they were allowed to become one. These wounds have become stigmata of shame in a world rife with fear. That is our history.
We know our selves, we know how to manage our gifts, our vulnerabilities and responsibilities, our humanity, without denial or other defence. We are true to who we are. It is not for us to change.
It is for the system to wake up.
